Top Weekend Spots Near Karnup and the Lifestyle at Vista

Park Vista Private Estate Karnup featuring playground and landscaped community park space

Karnup sits between Rockingham and Mandurah, about 50 minutes south of Perth. Until recently, many people drove past it on the way somewhere else. Vista Private Estate, the coastal pockets along Singleton Beach and the proposed Karnup Station have changed that.

Close to the beach

Singleton Beach is three minutes from Vista by car. The Singleton Foreshore is 1.5 kilometres away and connected by footpath. When the coast is that close, it’s part of your everyday lifestyle. A swim before dinner instead of a weekend trip. A walk at sunrise. Fish and chips on the sand on a Sunday without the drive home tipping the kids over.

Between two established centres

Rockingham is 15 minutes north and gives you the foreshore, the Penguin Island ferry, Murdoch University’s Rockingham campus and the Rockingham General Hospital precinct. Mandurah is 20 minutes south for the estuary, the canals and the weekend markets. Karnup gives you access to both without the price tag of either.

Inside the estate

Singleton Village Shopping Centre is in walking distance for the weekly grocery shop and the morning coffee. The parks along Marjorelle Way and Tuscan Way fill up on weekends. Community events, seasonal concerts and sports days run across the year.

What is coming next

The proposed Karnup Station is the biggest piece of future infrastructure. When delivered, it puts central Perth on a direct rail line and shifts Karnup from drive-only to dual mode. In the meantime, schools, retail and parkland are being rolled out across the suburb in line with population growth.

The short version

If a coastal address, a walkable village and future rail access matter to you, Karnup is worth a serious look. Vista Private Estate is the most developed entry point into the suburb.
